The Tribal Villages of Arunachal Pradesh tour will begin with pick up from Itanagar airport. You will visit Ziro renowned for the terrace paddy fields where the unique system of poly-culture and water management is practiced by Apatani Tribe. Then drive to Daporijo a tribal town and home of Tagin, Galo, Hillmiri and Nah tribes who are famed for their unique cultures, traditions and religious practices. Next drive to Aalo inhabited by Adi tribal & a perfect gateways for some nature hike & white water rafting. Then to Pasighat the oldest town of the state located on the banks of Siang River. Tour will end in Dibrugarh the tea city of India. 

Day 1: Itanagar - Ziro (110kms) (D)

On arrival at Itanagar airport assistance and transfer to Ziro. Ziro is a small town of Arunachal Pradesh at an elevation of nearly 5754 feet and is one of the most famous hill station comprises the original Ziro village and the new Zero town (Hapoli). Arrive and check in at guest house/ hotel, and rest time free and easy to relax & stroll around the market. Overnight at guest house/ hotel.

 

Day 2: Ziro (B,L,D)

Visit one of the most beautiful hill stations of Arunachal Pradesh, located in the midst of the pine clad mountains, inhabited by more than 50,000 friendly Apatanis. The Apatanis are a very interesting tribe, unlike the other tribes, they are non-nomadic in nature. They practice permanent wetland cultivation in hilly terrain by slicing the hills, whereas other tribes practice cultivation in dry land by cutting down forests. Arguably, the most captivating members are the older women of the tribe, who wear facial tattoos and massive nose rings. The tradition, though non-existent now, dates back to pre-modern times, when the Apatani women were considered to be the most beautiful in all of Arunachal Pradesh. Men of other tribes would often steal the Apatani women, which led the Apatani men to tattoo the faces of their women and make them wear massive nose plugs, in order to make them less appealing. The Apatani people design beautiful handloom and handicrafts, besides, practicing the famous paddy fish cultivation.
Also visit Talley Valley wildlife sanctuary a bio-diversity hotspot located at a distance of 32kms from Ziro. Comprising sub-tropical and alpine forests it has a variety of flora and fauna, many of which are endangered. The place offers great trekking opportunities. Rivers like Pange, Sipu, Karing and Subansiri flowing through the Reserved Forest and Sanctuary. It is home to highly endangered species like clouded leopard. And Pleioblastus simone a bamboo variety only found in Talley Valley. Overnight at guest house/ hotel.

 

Day 3: Ziro - Daporijo (170kms) (B,L,D)

Drive to Daporijo. Nestled on the shores of the beautiful Subansiri River, Daporijo is blessed with an aesthetic natural splendour of bamboo rain-forests, lush paddy fields and enchanting waterfalls. Its a great hideout for nature lovers, adventure enthusiasts and soul seekers alike. Daporijo is home of Tagin, Galo, Hillmiri and Nah tribes who are famed for their unique cultures, traditions and religious practices. Overnight at guest house/ hotel.

 

Day 4: Daporijo - Aalo (170kms) (B,L,D)

Drive to Aalo the land of Adi & Adi Gallonng People. Evening free to stroll in bustling vegetable market which is lined up with small stalls. Overnight at guest house/ hotel.

 

Day 5: Aalo (B,L,D)

Full day to explore Aalo & Along Adi Tribal Villages. With breath-taking scenery, plenty of captivating trails and gorgeous fruit orchards, Aalo is a perfect place to venture on activities like nature strolls and hiking tours. In case one is up for some riveting adventure in this little hill town, must not miss tasting the fun of white water rafting; Yomgo River`s meandering right through the middle of Aalo, with its strong rapids combined with majestic grandeur of the mountains, offers a unique thrill that is sure to leave every adventure lover captivated for the lifetime. During sightseeing in Aalo, visit Ramakrishna Ashram, Kamaki Hydropower Dam, Mithun & Jersey Cross Breeding Farm, Patum Bridge`s and Donyi-Polo Temple. Overnight at guest house/ hotel.

 

Day 6: Aalo - Pasighat (120kms) (B,L,D)

Drive to Pasighat the oldest town of the state, located on the banks of Siang River. The place is blessed with the kindness of nature and offers mesmerizing views. En-route enjoy the great view of Great Siang & Siyom confluence. Pasighat offer waterfalls, hanging bridges and mountain cliffs make the place inviting and relaxing at the same time. Some of the tourist spots of the place include the Daying Ering Sanctuary, Kekar Monying, Komsing and Pangin. Bound by a rich culture the place is inhabited by the Adi tribes. Also visit Minnyiong villages land of Minniyiong Tribe. Overnight at guest house/ hotel.

 

Day 7: Pasighat - Dibrugarh (150kms) (B,L,D)

Drive to Dibrugarh check in at hotel. 
Later visit Jokai Botanical Garden cum Germplasm Center, which has some endangered plant species. Shrikshetra Dhaam, Lord Jagannath Temple which is the replica of the Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri Odisha, one of the most important temples in Assam. Koli Aai Thaan which is the spiritual centre dedicated to Koli Aai whose teachings still hold a large place in people`s heart. You can visit Sarumechlow and Bormechow Maidam which are the graves of 2 queens belonging to the Ahom Dynasty; Dehing Satra that holds the ruins belonging to Ahom Dynasty; the Buddhist Monastery at Namphake Village; and many more places like these. Rest time to visit the local market, followed by cultural program in the evening at a Heritage Bungalow.

 

Day 8: Dibrugarh - Departure (B)

As per flight schedule transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
