Sight: Stories of Mumbai’s historic heart

Begin in Mumbai’s colonial precinct, where grand architecture reflects the city’s layered past. See landmarks such as the Gateway of India, Victoria Terminus, the Taj Mahal Palace and the Yacht Club. As you explore, your guide will share stories behind the buildings and the people who shaped the city. Keep an eye out for Mumbai’s dabbawalas, whose remarkable lunchbox delivery network is part of daily life.

On the drive, enjoy views of the University of Mumbai, Bombay High Court, Rajabai Clock Tower, Oval Maidan, Flora Fountain—named after the Roman goddess—and the Tower of Silence.

Sound: Feel the rhythm of Bollywood

Step into a contemporary dance studio and discover the energy of Bollywood music. A choreographer will guide you through some lively dance moves, so you can join in at your own pace. It’s a fun way to experience Mumbai’s film culture, get moving and enjoy the infectious rhythm of the city.

Taste: Savour Mumbai’s distinctive flavours

Smell: Explore the aromas of the spice market

Wander through Mumbai’s famous spice market, where the air is filled with the fragrance of spices. Browse colourful stalls, learn about the ingredients used in Indian cooking and watch as spices are dry-roasted and ground into customised masala blends. You’ll also have time to purchase spices and take home a taste of Mumbai.

Connect: Meet the people behind the city

Take part in a meaningful activity with a local NGO, when an opportunity is available, and spend time supporting its community work. If the NGO activity cannot be arranged, travel on a Mumbai local train instead.
