7:00 AM - Pick up from your Pune city hotel by your private driver and guide.

10:00 AM - Arrive at Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga Temple. The modest yet graceful temple dates back to the 13th century and is ornated with Buddha cravings as well. The temple brilliantly showcases the intelligent work of Vishwakarma sculptors of ancient times. The holy shrine of Bhimashankar is a work of Naga style of architecture.

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Explore the temple and take in its architecture and spiritual significance.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Trek to the Bhimashankar temple. This trek adds a pinch of adventure to your spiritual visit. The trek takes about an hour and a half and is moderately difficult.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Visit the temple and take in the breathtaking views from atop the hills. The site is highly picturesque and gives mind-boggling views of the nearby locations.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - Lunch break at a local restaurant.

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Optional visit and trek in Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary. The place is mainly famous for being a home to many endemic and pandemic animal and bird species including the Indian Giant Squirrel. It is so rich in flora and fauna that it is considered to be one of the biodiversity hotspots of the world. The reserve is also known for being the home of 14 sacred groves which are said to be thousands of years old and responsible for the origin of many species.

4:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Drive back to Pune. You can relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sahyadri Hills during the drive.
