Visit Sri Ranganthaswami Temple a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ranganatha a resting form of Lord Vishnu. This temple, also called Talpagiri Ranganathaswami temple is one of the oldest temples in Nellore. It is located on the banks of the Penna River and is believed to have been constructed in the 12th century. Just before the main entrance of the temple is a huge tower, called Gaaligopuram, which literally means "wind tower". This tower is approximately 70 feet high and has 10 feet of gold plated vessels on top of it, called kalashams.
Vedagiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, according to the ancient inscriptions found on the Vedagiri Temple walls, the temple was first built by the Pallava king, Narasimha Varma in the 9th century AD. According to the Mythology, in the very distant past mountains were blessed with wings and they were travelling from one place to another freely. Once the Malayagiri Mountain was travelling from Kanyakumari to Himalayas, its four wings fell at different locations on the earth, namely Vedagiri, Yadagiri, Mangalagiri and Nandagiri respectively. The Malayagiri Mountain offered prayer to the Supreme God Vishnu, who blessed the Malayagiri and said that all four wings will transform into the places of worship in the future. It is also believed that Lord Balaji has set his holy foot on top of Narasimha Konda. According to Brahma Purana, Saptarishi or the Seven Sages performed spiritual Yagnas on top of the hill.
Sri Raja Rajeshwar Temple, there are various beautiful paintings in the temple premises. The temple faces east but has the entrance from north. The idol are decorated with many beautiful ornaments and looks graceful in the glow of the oil-lit lamps. On one side of Rajarajehwari Devi are Lakshmi and Saraswati and on the other side Ganesha and Murugan. Fifty-one Shakti Yantras are installed at this temple, making it equal to the fifty-one Shakti Peethas in India. Poojas are done at the temple by following the tradition named Srividya.
