Day 2: Port Blair

Following a nourishing breakfast, embark on a captivating city tour of Port Blair. Your first stop is the Cellular Jail, also known as Kalapani, which carries the legacy of being a colonial-era prison and now stands as a museum. It is a solemn national memorial commemorating the Indian freedom struggle and is a prominent historical site in Port Blair.

Next, visit the Japanese Bunkers, a relic of World War II, easily visible across the capital city. Your journey then takes you to the Chatham Saw Mill, established under British administration in 1883, renowned as a significant wood processing facility in Asia. The mill provides valuable insights into India's pre-independence history and is a fascination for the young and old alike.

In the afternoon, head to Corbyn’s Cove, an idyllic destination for swimming and sunbathing. Here, you can relax on the beach or take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters. Later, explore Chidiya Tapu, offering breathtaking views of the Andaman coastline and home to over 40 regional bird species. The Munda Pahar Beach on Chidiya Tapu is a sought-after picnic spot, and the 1.5 km Munda Pahar trek is a delightful experience, where you can collect beautiful star corals and seashells.

Conclude your day with a visit to the Samudrika Marine Museum, managed by the Indian Navy, providing insightful exhibits on the islands' history, people, archaeology, and marine life. The museum boasts a diverse collection of fish, crabs, corals, and sculptures. Overnight stay at the hotel.
