Day 1: Arrival in Kolkata

Welcome to Kolkata, the City of Joy! Your exciting tour begins as you land at Kolkata Airport, where our friendly representative will be waiting to greet you. They will assist you with your luggage and provide a warm welcome to the city. From the airport, you will be transported to your chosen hotel in Kolkata. Upon check-in, you'll have some time to freshen up and relax.

In the afternoon, we'll start our exploration of Kolkata with a visit to Belur Math. This spiritual haven is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission, offering a serene and tranquil ambiance. The beautifully designed temple, set along the banks of the Hooghly River, is an architectural marvel. You can immerse yourself in the spiritual and philosophical teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Swami Vivekananda.

Next, we'll proceed to the iconic Victoria Memorial, an impressive marble monument dedicated to Queen Victoria. This historical and architectural gem is surrounded by lush gardens, making it a great place for a leisurely stroll.

Our next stop will be the St. Paul's Cathedral, a magnificent Anglican cathedral with stunning Gothic architecture. The cathedral's peaceful interior provides a perfect space for reflection and appreciation of its beauty.

Continuing our exploration of the city's rich heritage, we'll visit Mother Teresa's House, also known as the Mother House. Here, you can learn about the life and work of the beloved Nobel Laureate and missionary, Mother Teresa.

To round off your first day in Kolkata, we'll head to the iconic Howrah Bridge, one of the busiest and most recognizable landmarks in the city. You can take in the panoramic views of the Hooghly River and watch the bustling life along the bridge.

As the day comes to an end, you can experience the vibrant and diverse street food culture of Kolkata. Explore the local markets and savor some delectable dishes. Kolkata is famous for its sweets, so don't forget to try some iconic sweets like rasgulla and sandesh.

 

Day 2: Kolkata to Sunderban National Park (130kms)

After a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Kolkata, we will set off for an exciting journey to the Sunderban National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for being one of the largest mangrove forests in the world and is home to an incredible variety of flora and fauna.

Upon reaching Sunderban, you'll check in at your chosen resort. Here, you can unwind and take in the serenity of the natural surroundings. The resort's peaceful atmosphere offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

 

Day 3: Sunderban National Park

Today promises a thrilling adventure as we explore the unique ecosystem of Sunderban National Park. We will embark on a boat safari through the mangrove forests and waterways, allowing you to witness the untamed beauty of nature up close.

During the boat safari, keep your eyes peeled for the majestic Bengal tigers that call this region home. You might also spot other fascinating wildlife, including saltwater crocodiles, spotted deer, wild boars, and an array of bird species.

The boat safari will take you through various islands and winding creeks, each offering a different facet of the natural wonders that make Sunderban so special. The serenity of the mangrove forests and the tranquil waters will create an unforgettable experience.

In the evening, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and traditions. The local villagers will present a captivating cultural program featuring traditional dances and music. Day 4: Sunderban National Park to Kolkata (Drive)

After a sumptuous breakfast at your resort, it's time to bid adieu to the captivating beauty of Sunderban National Park. We'll drive back to Kolkata, and depending on your schedule, we will either drop you off at Kolkata Airport for your onward journey or at your chosen hotel in the city.

This marks the end of your unforgettable tour, filled with spiritual experiences, wildlife encounters, and a deep dive into the culture and history of Kolkata and Sunderban.
