This is a 11-day private tour that covers some of the most popular destinations in Kerala and the Andaman Islands. Starting in Cochin, the tour includes visits to Munnar, Thekkady, Kumarakom, and Alleppey in Kerala, and Port Blair, Neil Island, and Havelock Island in the Andaman Islands. The tour features cultural performances, visits to tea estates, spice plantations, and wildlife sanctuaries. It also includes a memorable experience of sailing through the backwaters on a houseboat and exploring the beautiful beaches and coral reefs in the Andaman Islands.

 

Day 1: Arrive in Cochin

Upon your arrival at Cochin airport, you will be picked up by our representative and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, you will enjoy a Kathakali dance performance, a traditional Indian dance form that originated in Kerala. The performers use intricate hand gestures and facial expressions to convey emotions and tell stories.

 

Day 2: Cochin - Munnar (140km)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Cochin. You will visit Fort Cochin, which is known for its beautiful architecture and historic landmarks such as St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India. You will also visit the Jewish Synagogue and Mattancherry Dutch's Palace, which was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century.
After sightseeing in Cochin, you will drive to Munnar, a hill station in Kerala known for its beautiful tea plantations. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the hotel and visit a tea estate to learn about tea production and taste some of the local tea. In the evening, you will enjoy another Kathakali dance performance.

 

Day 3: Munnar

After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Munnar. You will visit Pothamedu, which offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and tea plantations. You will also visit Mattupetty dam and its reservoir, Rajamala in Eravikulam National Park, where you can spot the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, Mattupedi Dairy Farm, Echo Point, and the Tea Museum, which showcases the history of tea production in the region. You will spend the night at the hotel in Munnar.

 

Day 4: Munnar - Thekkady (110km)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to Thekkady via Ramakkalmedu. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the hotel and later in the evening, you will watch a Kalaripayattu and Kathakali dance performance. Kalaripayattu is a traditional Indian martial art that originated in Kerala and involves the use of swords, sticks, and other weapons.

 

Day 5: Thekkady - Kumarakom (140km)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary on a boat and spice plantation tour, where you can spot various species of animals such as elephants, tigers, and wild boars. You will then drive to Kumarakom and check-in at the hotel. You will spend the night at the hotel in Kumarakom.

 

Day 6: Kumarakom - Alleppey

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the Alleppey boat jetty to board a houseboat and sail through the backwaters. You will have the opportunity to witness the local way of life and enjoy the serene and scenic surroundings. You will also enjoy lunch, dinner and spend the night on the houseboat, where you can witness the beautiful sunset from the sun-deck.

 

Day 7: Alleppey - Cochin (75km)/ Port Blair

After breakfast on the houseboat, you will disembark and drive to Cochin airport to board a flight for Port Blair. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Port Blair, where you will spend the night.

 

Day 8: Port Blair - Neil Island (by scheduled ferry)

After breakfast at the hotel in Port Blair, you will be transferred to the jetty to board a ferry to Neil Island. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel and check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities. You can explore the nearby beaches and soak up the sun or take a dip in the crystal clear waters. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 9: Neil Island

Relax on the pristine beaches of Neil Island, including Bharatpur Beach, Sitapur Beach, and Lakshmanpur Beach. While much of the forest has been cleared for rice cultivation, the north-west of the island is actively preserved. Take a leisurely walk around the island to explore its natural beauty. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 10: Neil Island - Havelock (by scheduled ferry)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the jetty to board a boat for Havelock Island. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Havelock Island, one of the largest and most popular islands in the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago. The island is a paradise of silky white sand beaches, crystal blue water, rich corals, and verdant forests. Havelock Island is also a favourite amongst those who want to engage in scuba diving, snorkelling, and deep-sea diving. Elephant beach and Kalapathar beach are the two most popular beaches on the island, particularly for the views of the sunrise and sunsets. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 11: Havelock

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel and be ready by 7am, as the boat will leave at 8.30am for Elephant Beach, one of the most memorable trips on the island. Explore the blue shallow waters, perfect for beginner snorkelers, or spend the day lying on the beach and relaxing. The beach is very scenic with fallen trees and white sand giving the photographer some interesting shots. The reef here starts very close to shore at a depth of about 1 metre, and the large reef is mostly made up of hard coral and has plenty of marine life. Please note that the trip may be changed to a lighthouse, subject to weather conditions and visibility. The Havelock Island Boat Owners Association is providing complimentary snorkelling activity at Elephant Beach for 5 minutes, subject to operational rules of the Havelock Island.

 

Day 12: Havelock Island - Port Blair (by scheduled ferry)

Spend the day at leisure on the beautiful beaches of Havelock Island. Relax and soak in the sun, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, or engage in various water sports like scuba diving and snorkeling. You can also explore the island on foot or rent a bike to visit nearby attractions. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 13: Havelock - Port Blair (by ferry)

Transfer to Port Blair by ferry. Visit the city and enjoy the scenic Wandoor Beach and Chidiya Tapu. Explore museums like Anthropological Museum and Samudrika Naval Marine Museum. Later, visit the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park to witness marine life, corals, and nesting sea turtles. Attend the Sound & Light Show at Cellular Jail to relive the heroic saga of Indian freedom struggle. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 14: North Bay & Ross Island Tour

Embark on a boat ride from Water Sports Complex to witness under-water marine life and coral reefs at North Bay. Snorkeling and glass bottom boat rides are available at an extra cost. Later, proceed to Ross Island, the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British era, and witness the ruins of old buildings like Chief Commissioner House, Government House, Church, Bakery, Press, Swimming Pool, Cemetery, etc. all in dilapidated condition. Return to hotel in the evening.

 

Day 15: Port Blair - Departure

As per flight schedule, transfer to the airport for onward destination.
