Day 1: Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park (200kms)
Upon arrival at Guwahati or Jorhat airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kaziranga National Park. After checking in, you can relax for the rest of the day. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Kaziranga National Park
After breakfast, get ready for an exciting day of exploring the wildlife of Kaziranga National Park. The day starts with a two-time gypsy safari in the park. The morning safari will take you to the Eastern range, followed by the Western range in the afternoon. The Western range is known for its big game sightings, such as Rhinos, Tigers, and Water Buffaloes. Kaziranga is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and hosts two-thirds of the world's Great One-horned Rhinoceroses. It also boasts the highest density of tigers among protected areas in the world and is a declared Tiger Reserve. The park is home to large breeding populations of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. After a full day of wildlife spotting, enjoy lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Kaziranga - Guwahati (200kms)
After breakfast, set out on an early morning exploration of the Central Range, which is great for spotting water birds. The park is recognized as an important bird area by Birdlife International for the conservation of avifaunal species. With over 500 species of birds, 23 of them globally threatened, the forests of Kaziranga are home to all the Green Pigeon species found in the Indian subcontinent, both the Great White and elusive Dalmatian Pelican, the Black Necked Crane, as well as the Great and Oriental Pied Hornbills. After the safari, drive to Guwahati and check in at your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a magnificent sunset over the majestic Brahmaputra River on a cruise. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Guwahati - Departure
After breakfast, set out on a city tour of Guwahati. Visit the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most venerated Shakti shrines, and the Navagraha Temple, dedicated to the nine planets in the solar system. Later, visit Umananda Island, the smallest inhabited river island in the world. Here, man and wilderness cohabit in peace and serenity. Visit the Umananda Temple, a Shiva Temple built in 1594 by the Ahom King of Assam.
After the city tour, transfer to Guwahati airport for your departure flight.
