Day 2: Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park (200km)
After breakfast, begin your day with a fascinating city tour of Guwahati, visiting some of its most revered spiritual and cultural landmarks. Explore the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most venerated Shakti shrines, perched atop the Nilachal Hill and offering panoramic views of the city. Visit the Navagraha Temple, dedicated to the nine celestial planets, and the Umananda Island, the world’s smallest river island, home to the 16th-century Umananda Temple built by an Ahom King. After the tour, drive through scenic Assamese countryside to reach Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and unwind for the night surrounded by nature’s serenity.
Day 3: Kaziranga National Park
Start your morning early with breakfast and get ready for a thrilling day of wildlife exploration. Embark on a gypsy safari through the park’s diverse zones — beginning with the Central Range, known for its rich birdlife, followed by the Eastern Range, and finally the Western Range, famous for big game sightings including rhinos, tigers, and water buffaloes. As you traverse through tall elephant grasses, marshlands, and tropical forests intersected by the Brahmaputra River, you’ll witness one of the richest biodiversity reserves in the world. Recognized as both a Tiger Reserve and an Important Bird Area, Kaziranga shelters elephants, swamp deer, and hundreds of avian species. Return to your lodge after an adventurous day for lunch, dinner, and a peaceful overnight stay surrounded by jungle sounds.
Day 4: Kaziranga – Majuli (150km)

Drive till Nimathi Ghat, from where you will board a ferry across the mighty Brahmaputra River, offering a captivating view of life along its banks. Upon arrival at Kamalabari Ghat, transfer to your lodge and check in. Majuli is the cultural heart of Assam, where Srimanta Shankardeva, the founder of Eka Naam Dharma, established the roots of Neo-Vaishnavism in the 15th century. The island’s monasteries (Sattras), lush landscapes, and harmonious tribal communities make it a living museum of Assamese heritage. Later, visit a Mishing tribal village, interact with the locals, and enjoy their warm hospitality with a cup of tea or local rice beer while learning about their simple yet vibrant way of life. Overnight stay at Majuli.
Day 5: Majuli – Jorhat (40km) / Departure
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before boarding the ferry back to the mainland and continue your journey to Jorhat, known as the Tea Capital of India. Visit the historic Thengal Bhawan, an elegant mansion from the Ahom dynasty era, and the scenic Bangalpukhari Tank, a peaceful water body surrounded by gardens.
