Embark on a private tour of Mumbai that takes you to some of the city's most iconic landmarks and hidden gems. Starting with a visit to the Gateway of India and a ferry ride to Elephanta Island, you'll explore the ancient Elephanta Caves and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya museum. You'll also get to witness the local way of life at Dhobi Ghat, before exploring the colorful Kala Ghoda Art district. The tour ends with a visit to the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station before being dropped off back at your hotel in South Mumbai.

8:00am - Pick up from your hotel in South Mumbai by a private air-conditioned car and drive to the Gateway of India. En route, your guide will provide an overview of the city's history and culture.

8:30am - Arrive at the Gateway of India and board a ferry to Elephanta Island. The ferry ride takes approximately an hour, and you'll be able to enjoy views of Mumbai's skyline as you approach the island.

9:30am - Upon arrival at Elephanta Island, you'll visit the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 5th and 6th centuries. The caves are known for their ancient rock-cut temples, including the famous Shiva temple, which features a towering 6-meter-tall statue of the deity. Your guide will provide insights into the history and significance of the caves.

12:00pm - Return to the Gateway of India by ferry.

1:30pm - Lunch at a local restaurant. Your guide will recommend a restaurant based on your preferences, whether it's local street food or fine dining.

2:30pm - Return to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya to explore the museum's diverse collection of Indian art, textiles, and sculptures. The museum houses several galleries dedicated to these subjects, providing a comprehensive overview of India's rich cultural heritage.

4:00pm - Visit Dhobi Ghat, an open-air laundromat located in the heart of Mumbai. This unique place is where hundreds of people wash clothes every day using traditional methods. It's a fascinating sight to see rows of concrete wash pens, each fitted with its own flogging stone, where laundry is soaked, beaten, and thrashed before being hung out to dry. 5:30pm - Explore the Kala Ghoda Art district, which is known for its vibrant street art, galleries, and museums. 6:30pm - Visit Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) railway station, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Mumbai's most iconic landmarks. The station, built in the late 19th century, is known for its Victorian Gothic architecture and serves as a hub for local and long-distance trains. Your guide will provide insights into the history and significance of the station.

7:00pm - Return to your hotel in South Mumbai by private car. Your guide will bid you farewell and answer any last-minute questions you may have about your Mumbai tour.
