This 17-day private tour, "Driving in the Trans Himalayan Mountains" takes you on a journey through the stunning landscape of the Himalayan Mountains. Starting in Delhi, you'll make your way to Shimla, Sarahan, Sangla, and Kalpa. The tour then takes you through Nako, Tabo, and Kaza, with ample time to explore each location. The journey culminates in Manali, Chandigarh, and back to Delhi. Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be greeted by your tour representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

 

Day 2: Delhi - Shimla (364km)

After breakfast, you will start your drive to Shimla. Upon arrival, you will check-in to your hotel and have some free time to explore the city on your own.

 

Day 3: Shimla

In the morning, you will take a guided tour of Shimla's famous attractions, including the Vice Regal Lodge, Christ Church, and Scandal Point. In the afternoon, you can explore the local markets and try some traditional Himachali cuisine.

 

Day 4: Shimla - Sarahan (165km)

After breakfast, you will start your journey to Sarahan. Along the way, you will visit the Bhima Kali Temple and enjoy the scenic beauty of the mountains.

 

Day 5: Sarahan - Sangla (85km)

In the morning, you will drive to Sangla and visit the Kamru Fort, which is perched on a hilltop overlooking the town. You can also explore the picturesque Sangla Valley and the nearby villages, such as Batseri and Chitkul.

 

Day 6: Sangla - Kalpa (50kms)

After breakfast, you will drive to Kalpa, which is famous for its stunning views of the Kinner Kailash range. You can take a leisurely stroll through the village and visit the nearby monasteries.

 

Day 7: Kalpa - Nako (110km)

After breakfast, you will drive to Nako, which is a small village situated at an altitude of 3662 meters. You can visit the Nako Lake and the nearby Buddhist monastery.

 

Day 8: Nako - Tabo (65kms)

In the morning, you will drive to Tabo, which is famous for its ancient Buddhist monastery. You can explore the monastery complex and see the beautiful murals and frescoes.

 

Day 9: Tabo - Kaza (50km)

After breakfast, you will drive to Kaza, which is the largest town in the Spiti Valley. You can visit the Kaza Monastery and explore the town's colorful markets.

 

Day 10: Kaza

Today, you will have a full day to explore Kaza and its surrounding areas. You can visit the nearby villages of Kibber and Hikkim and see the famous Key Monastery.

 

Day 11: Kaza - Chandertaal Lake (145kms)

After breakfast, you will drive to Chandertaal Lake, which is a beautiful high-altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. You can take a leisurely stroll around the lake and enjoy the stunning scenery.

 

Day 12: Chandertaal - Gemur (135km)

In the morning, you will drive to Gemur, which is a small village situated in the Lahaul Valley. You can explore the village and visit the nearby monasteries.

 

Day 13: Gemur - Trilokinath - Keylong

After breakfast, you will drive to Trilokinath, which is a famous pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. You can visit the Trilokinath Temple and see the beautiful architecture. In the evening, you will drive to Keylong and check into your hotel.

 

Day 14: Keylong - Rohtang Pass - Manali (115kms)

After breakfast, drive towards Manali. En route, you will pass through Rohtang Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in the world. Enjoy the scenic drive and stop to take pictures of the breathtaking views. Upon arrival in Manali, check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

 

Day 15: Manali

After breakfast, set out to explore Manali, a picturesque hill station nestled in the Himalayas. Visit the Hadimba Temple, a unique wooden temple dedicated to the goddess Hadimba. Later, explore the Vashisht Village, known for its hot springs and ancient temples. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and soak in the natural beauty of Manali.

 

Day 16: Manali - Chandigarh (280km)

After breakfast, depart for Chandigarh, a well-planned city known for its architecture and gardens. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and then set out to explore the city. Visit the famous Rock Garden, a sculpture garden made from recycled materials, and the beautiful Sukhna Lake. In the evening, return to your hotel and relax.

 

Day 17: Chandigarh - Delhi (250km)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart for Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
