The Chota Char Dham is an important Hindu pilgrimage circuit in the Indian Himalayas consists of four sites Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath & Badrinath. Badrinath is also one of the four destinations of the longer Char Dham. It is said that ones life is incomplete without the experience of sighting the majestic peaks of the Himalayas. For Hindus, the Himalayas is the ultimate religious destination as it treasures most of the holy places in it lap.

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Arrival transfer to hotel check in (check in/out time 12pm). 
Later city tour of Delhi. In Old Delhi visit the majestic Red Fort (closed on Monday) the residence of the Mughal emperor for nearly 200 years until 1857. Jama Masjid one of the largest mosques in the world built by Shah Jahan. Cycle Rickshaw ride in Chandni chowk & Khari Baoli Spice Market a busy shopping area with markets full of spices, dried fruit, silver jewelry and vivid saris, while the narrow side streets are crowded with tiny shops selling essential oils, stationery and traditional Indian sweets. Raj Gath the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi where he was cremated after his assassination. 
In New Delhi visit Humayun Tomb the first garden-tomb in Indian subcontinent and an early example of Mughal architecture commissioned by Humayun`s first wife Empress Bega Begum in 1569-70. Qutab Minar a 73-metres tall minaret that forms part of the Qutb complex a fine examples of Afghan architecture. Lotus Temple a Bahai House of Worship notable for its flower-like shape. Also drive pass President House, Parliament & India Gate etc. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 2: Delhi - Haridwar (200km) (B)

Drive to Haridwar, check in at hotel. Sightseeing in Haridwar & Rishikesh. Visit Chandi Devi Temple, it is believed that the main statue of goddess Chandi devi, who killed the demon brothers Shumbh-Nishumbh, was laid here in the 8th century AD by Adi Shankracharya. The Chandi Devi temple can now be reached by a ropeway as well. Mansa Devi situated on the southernmost hill of the Shivalik ranges one can reach this temple either on foot or by a cable car. Perched on Bilwa Parvat, the temple provides a panoramic view of the Haridwar city with the Ganges flowing in its middle. Sapt Rishi Ashram & Sapt Sarovar it is at this place that Ganges is believed to have divided itself into seven small streams to not to disturb the Sapt (seven) Rishis meditating and worshiping here. Bharat Mata Mandir it is one of its kind temples in Haridwar and is dedicated to Mother India, tracing its history from the times of Ramayana to present day. Sati Kund this is the holy place where the wife of Lord Shiva, Mata Sati is believed to have done the ritual of self-immolation. Evening aarti at Hari Ki Pauri Ghat in Haridwar or at Triveni Ghat in Rishikes. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 2: Haridwar - Barkot (190km) (B,L,D)

Drive to Barkot via scenic mountain route. Stop at the roaring Kempty Falls & Lakahamandal an Archaeological site. 
Arrive Barkot check in & overnight at hotel.

 

Day 3: Barkot (B,L,D)

Drive about 45kms up to Jankichatti. Next 5kms trek to Yamunotri. After taking bath in Jamunabai Kunds warm water and paying tribute to Yamunaji return to Hanumanchatti by trek. Then drive to Barkot for Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 4: Barkot - Uttarkashi (85km) (B,L,D)

Drive to Uttarkashi check in at hotel. Uttarkashi is the land of holiest of pilgrimages of Hindus, two holiest rivers Ganga and Yamuna originate from here. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 5: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (200kms round) (B,L,D)

Early morning with packed breakfast leave for Gangotri. En route stop at Gangnani a hot water spring. After offering prayers at the shrine and poojadarshan lunch. Return to your hotel in Uttarkashi for Overnight stay.

 

Day 6: Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (210km) (B,L,D)

Drive to Guptkashi on the way stop at Tehri Dam. With a bit of rest, continue on your way to Guptkashi. 
On arrival check in & overnight at hotel.

 

Day 7: Guptkashi - Gaurikund (38kms drive)/ Kedarnath (B,L,D)

Drive to Gaurikund and from their join other pilgrims on a 14kms long trek to Kedarnath. check in at hotel & relax. In the evening visit the Kedarnath Temple attend the pooja ceremony. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 8: Kedarnath - Guptkashi (B,L,D)

Begin 14kms descent on foot to Gaurikund, and further on drive another 38kms to Guptkashi. En route visit Triyugi Narayan a sacred place. 
On arrival check in & overnight at hotel.

 

Day 9: Guptkashi - Badrinath (200km) (B,L,D)

Drive to Badrinath enroute visit Chopta a beautiful forest with medicinal plants. 
On arrival check in at hotel & get some rest. In the evening visit Badrinath temple. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 10: Badrinath - Kirtinagar (250km) (B,L,D)

Drive to visit Mana Village, Vyas Gufa & Bhim Pul. Depart for Kirtinagar enroute stop at Vishnu Prayag, at Joshimath & at Karn Prayag. Arrive Kirtinagar check in & overnight at hotel.

 

Day 11: Kirtinagar - Rishikesh (100km) (B)

Drive to Rishikesh enroute stop at Deoprayag confluence of rivers. 
Arrive Rishikesh check in at hotel. Evening attend aarti. overnight at hotel.

 

Day 12: Haridwar - Delhi (220km) (B)

Drive to Delhi & drop off to airport.

Assistance on arrival at airport.
