9:00 am - Meet your guide at your hotel or a pre-arranged meeting point to begin your tour. The first stop of the day is Sabarmati Ashram, the former home of Mahatma Gandhi. This peaceful retreat on the banks of the Sabarmati River is where Gandhi lived for 12 years and launched his famous Dandi Salt March. Your guide will provide you with insights into Gandhi's life, philosophy, and role in India's freedom struggle.
10:30 am - From Sabarmati Ashram, we will drive to the Hatheesing Jain Temple, one of the most prominent Jain temples in Ahmedabad. Built in the 19th century by a wealthy Jain merchant, the temple is known for its exquisite carvings, intricate marble work, and stunning architecture.
12:00 pm - Lunch break.
1:00 pm - After lunch, we will visit the Bhadra Fort, a historic fort in the heart of Ahmedabad. The fort was built in the 15th century by Sultan Ahmed Shah and served as the royal residence and administrative headquarters. Explore the fort's impressive architecture, including its grand entrance, palace complex, and courtyard.
2:00 pm - From Bhadra Fort, we will drive to the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kalupur, a beautifully designed Hindu temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan, and its intricate carvings and ornate decoration make it one of the most impressive places of worship in Ahmedabad.
3:00 pm - Next, we will visit the Adalaj Stepwell, one of the most impressive stepwells in Gujarat. Built in the 15th century by Queen Rudabai, the stepwell is known for its impressive architecture and intricate carvings. Your guide will explain the history and significance of stepwells in the region.
