From Khajuraho’s Carved Stone to Panna’s Forest Trails
My familiarization trip with the Madhya Pradesh government took me from Delhi to Khajuraho by air, through the temples and natural landscapes of the region, and back to Delhi aboard the Vande Bharat train. Along the way, I visited Khajuraho’s temples, Raneh Water Falls, and Panna Tiger Reserve. This journey brought together heritage, nature, and two very different ways of travelling. At Khajuraho, I slowed down to take in the detail carved into centuries-old temples. At Raneh Water Falls, I saw the Ken River’s dramatic canyon landscape. And in Panna, I set out by jeep into the forest, where the experience was shaped by the trail and the anticipation of what might appear.
